Radeon and nvidia physx

So, I love the features of phyx in games its pretty cool

The question is does Radeon cards have something similar to physx? I am just curious I am considering upgrading from my gtx 560 non ti to maybe try a radeon card. I've heard there are overheating, driver, and other issues with radeon cards but it might be a rumor.

the can have their own physics engine because of OpenCL which is basically lets them do all sorts of stuff that cuda can do, just in a different programming lanuage, Physx is just a gimmick anyway

ive seen some physx vs non physx video game demos and its pretty awesome looking
