Hey, so I'm finally getting my PC parts over December or January. My budget is around $1,400 (Australia) and here is my build so far (getting my parts from MSY and PCcasegear).
- CPU - AMD AM3+ FX-8350 4.0Ghz = $229
- Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 = $174
- RAM - G.Skill Ares 16Gb Kit 1600 mhz = $185
- HDD - WD Blue 1TB 7200HDD = $65
- SSD - Samsung 840BW EVO 120GB = $104
- DVD Drive - ASUS Black/24x DVD-RW = $19
- Graphics Card - Asus R9 280X DirectCU II = $388
- Power Supply - Coolermaster GX2 Power 750W 80+ Bronze = $103
- CPU Fan - Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo = $37
- Case - Xigmatek Talon MT Black Case = $109
- Total = $1413
I was thinking of getting the R9 290 (wait for non-reference models) over the r9 280x because I'm building this PC to last a couple of years for gaming at 1080p (ultra and 60fps). I am looking at playing games such as Battlefield 4, a lot of single player games and star citizen. Also I would like if any of you disagree with any of the parts I have chosen to comment down below. The reason I was going with the 16gb of ram (I don't know if this is necessary), is because games in 3 or so years may require this and i was going to fiddle around with 3d work.
Thanks
