Does the 3gb of GDDR5 ram give the r9 280x an advantage for gaming over say a GTX 770?
And will over 2gb ram be necessary for gaming in the near future?
Currently the only game that has a setting that only works if you have 3GB or more vram is Titanfall, for compute performance more ram will not help, however the higher resolution the more ram is used. 2GB of ram will be necessary in the future but when that will be is unknown.
