R9 270X v. R9 280

Hey Guys! So it's about time I upgrade my GPU due to mine failing and I cannot get a replacement one sadly. However, I am torn between the 270X and the 280. They both look like nice cards. I'm afraid my PSU won't be able to handle the 280 so here are my specs:

Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth AM3+

CPU: AMD 6300

Ram: Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz 2x4gb

PSU: Rosewill Green Series 530w 80 Plus Bronze (Don't hate me for this PSU)

Let me know which one you guys think is best or if you think there is a better GPU in that range let me know!

Thanks.

Your PSU should be able to handle a 280 as the power consumption of a 280 is only slightly higher than 270X, also 600W power supplies are pretty cheap nowadays so if your supply turns out to not be enough just grab a new supply

As far as performance do you think it is a big difference between the 270X and 280? Because if not I was thinking about picking up a 4Gb version of the 270x

the 280 is a good bit better especially overclocked

I just upgraded from a 270x 4GB to a 280 and the difference is huge.

The 280 also overclocks a hell of a lot better. I am running my system, overclocked (as per below) with a Enermax Triathlor 550W 80+ Bronze.
