r9 270x problem,

Hi, i dont know where to post problems with my pc, so i do it here, ( move to other place if im at the wrong place )

- so, i got a problem with my new pc, i ordered 3 weeks ago a new pc,

r9 270x

FX8320

8 GB ram

Scythe katana 4

MSI 970A-G43 (MS-7693)

the problem : i can play most of the games on highest settings,

but 50 % of the games : Battlefield 3&4, payday 2, surgency, ghost recon phantoms, as example, i got huge fps drops every 4/5 minutes, it doesn't matter where i' am! if im standing still and do nothing, it still happens, i tryd prone on ground and then only look on the ground, and it still happened. just random drops,

on high battlefield i got 80 fps steady, and then it drops to 25 or something,

on low i got 135 fps, and then it drops to 20 / 30 for 3 4 sec, its so annoying,

i tried updating to beta drivers, 14.6 ( got 14,4 now )

i hope someone can help me i really want to play normal :)

( sorry for bad english. )

Predator

It depends on the game, The R9-270x is a Card that is capable of playing i would say 85% of Games on High Settings it isn't a card you can just crank up all the details with. some games you can get away with, Like Battlefield, Borderlands, and the good portion of AMD Optimized Titles.  but some games are more graphically demanding than others. the card isn't the problem its just the game on ultra is demanding too much on your card. it isn't necessarily a problem.

/!\

3 reports so far of r9 270x's crashing / not working .

2 of my friends r9 270x's don't work. One crashes games and the other doesn't start or display signal.

I'l keep track of this , but it's interesting...

that problem sound like ram to me, but it probably isn't, you have a high power chip on a low end motherboard, run a cpu benchmark and see if it matches up to the average for that processor

why have you decided that it's a gpu problem?

Hi, but why does it happen also on LOW 135 to 25 drops every 4 min?

also i tested my pc on speccy,

fx8320 : avg 51  °C

r9 270x : avg 50  °C

Motherboard : avg 55, sometimes it hits 65 or something  °C

question :

is it good to maybe upgrade my cooler to :       Corsair Hydro Series H60

and

is this motherboard good to upgrade to?

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 (AMD CrossfireX & nVidia SLI)

or do i need to upgrade to

Asus Sabertooth 990FX (AMD CrossfireX & nVidia SLI)

thanks for responding!
