I have an Abit AN52 motherboard and it supports the AM2 Socket
My question is that since it's a pretty old board, will its support AM3 Socket?

AM2+, maybe with a bios update. AM3 is defintely out of the question
am2+? no no. am3 can fit on am2 and am2+ with a bios update. am2+ CANNOT fit on am2. check for a bios update you may get lucky.
