Quick question

hi guys,

i'm buying a r9 270 from msi and a corsair 500watt tommorow. but i saw a review on youtube and on the psu there was a sticker that said that is 408watt and 300 watt. i'm confused now. can someone explain? i'm using the gpu with a i5 750. it runs at 2.67ghz and mobo doesn't support oc. i also thought about a 7750 and don't go with a psu but the 7750 isn't that powerfull. i play at 1680x1050 so the 270 is perfect for me and msi said that oc with afterburner is in the warranty:) i hope i can push it to 1150mhz or higher. oh and i have really really bad airflow. only 1 fan at the back. is that a big problem?

old psu is bestec 300watt. no 1x6pin :(

current gpu: gt220 @780mhz

It will most definitely work just fine.

Amperage is more important than wattage, if it's a good power supply it has a lot of amps on the 12V rails. It most likely has so it's a good choice.
