So I want some quick n easy food I can make for break fast (break fast food has to take under 15 minutes to make) lunch (has to be portable, quick to make is a bonus) and dinner food.
Keep the ingredients simple
My contribution. Quick Pasta with cream sauce
Cook some noodles of your choice.
Cook up half an onion (or whole if its small) and one pepper (feel free to add more if you like)
When noodles are finished get about 250ml-500ml of cream cheese and some milk, mix this in with vegetables in frying pan along with some ginger and garlic (you can eye ball everything I listed here)
Extras, you can cook up some chicken to go in with the vegetables along with celery, mushrooms and parsley/what ever you feel would be good in it. Total cooking time is how long it takes to boil the water and cook the noodles.
This only works if you like tomatoes, which i do, cause it involves making a makeshift "tomatosauce" in 4 minutes (lol)... and have 15 minutes on your hands which you bloody well do if you're on this forum!
Cook some pasta in a pan, when it's done (duh) take the pasta off the pan and into the colander. Put the empty pan back on the stove and this method generates less dishes!
Add crushed tomatoes note that the crushed tomatoes should not boil just cook it gently and throw in some spices like black pepper, cayenne, chili, curry or basil...or whatever you prefer.
Add pre-processed food like chicken kebab or sausages cut bite sized you can fry them or just heat them up with the crushed tomatoes, depending on how much time you wanna spend.
when your tomato mixture is done, put the pasta back into the pan and mix it up!
This is super fast and and leaves minimal dishes, only one pan and a colander and a spoon and as the sauce is tomatoes it's not too unhealthy :D (i try to tell myself)
A la carbonara (which is basically omlette with pasta). 2 types of it:
Put spaghetti to boil, a little salt in the water. Don't overboil, keep it al dente.
Just before they're done, heat up a big pan, add a little oil and dice an onion. Throw it in there until it gets translucent (no burning)
Add bacon/sausage/ham bits and let them SEETHE a little bit (keep a little fat in there). Drain the pasta and throw it in the pan and stir it a lot. Add condiments : pepper, chilli pepper slices, basil, whatever herbs you like. It's salty enough from the pasta and bacon.
Either:
You can mix 2 eggs with a lot of cream and add that in the pan and let it cool and serve like that, with added parmesan cheese.
While you stir, get a robot hand to mix some eggs evenly in a bowl (2-3) and throw them in there until they become small chunks. Keep stirring the pasta and add some parmesan cheese/grated cheese.
#2 is the omlette like recipe, #1 is more like Space bar's recipe.
I don't think snailswarth's recipe is healthy (depending how often you do this and from where you get your sausages) . I don't think mine is either (bacon or any sort of meat from supermarkets suck, they're full of preservatives and salt). Get real meat or smoke your own damn sausages, or else you're just eating processed dead meat with a bunch of salt and water in it.
my favorite breakfast takes me about 10 min to make, and is pretty healthy.
Get a bagel toasting & put an egg on to poach (I poach eggs in a vortex of boiling water with a splash of vinegar), I like the yolk super runny so I keep a close eye on it.
mush some avocado, dice tomato & sweet pepper (i like ramiro), shred baby spinach. Mix veg with some salt & pepper and a dash of chipotle sauce and/or a little smoked paprika.
Serve bagel-veg-egg. Apply liberally about the face. There is something about egg yolk with avocado salt & pepper that just has the flavour.
Poached eggs on toast with bacon: Start your bacon on medium-low heat. Fill a saucepan with water and bring to just under boil (medium high until it starts to bubble, then down to near medium) and poach your eggs (2-4 minutes depending on how done you like). Check your bacon, it should be nearly finished by this point. Start your toast in the toaster. Drain eggs on paper towel, drain finished bacon as well. Butter your toast and place both poached eggs on one slice, use the other to sop up yolk, eat bacon.
2) I have semi premade basic salads, as in I have the lettuce cleaned and ripped apart (not cut)
3) when i need something I make it, grab some chicken put it in the microwave (oven if you really want). while that is happening add something to the borito, lettuce, sour cream and cheese.
4) add chicken when finished add it to it, then eat.
quick simple, provides plenty of nutrition with the borito as a bread substitute, plenty of protein, salads, enough milk (sour cream). Tastes great in my opinion, and works great with gaming.
