I mostly just lurk here and sometimes say a word or two.
I was wondering if someone has undervolted their 3060 or could try it? I’ve thought of getting one, but only if it can be tamed to the level of 1060 that I currently own. Given the current electricity prices, my thoughts were to half its power limit and increase it back to stock as the prices hopefully come down eventually.
I’ve ran a few tests on my 1060 with GPU-Z logging to see where its wattage lays in few different titles. I’ve tested Heaven benchmark, Bannerlord and Cyberpunk for now at whatever settings I play them at. Generally it ends up with about half the wattage, yet performance can be hit and miss in my limited testing, sometimes it scales linearly, sometimes not.
So my question is, has anyone tried to undervolt their 3060 and benchmarked it or could someone do it for me and shoot the GPU-Z log files my way? Either use the same titles as me or whatever else you might have and could bother to test. The thing I’m mainly logging is “Board Power Draw” and you can enable its logging in sensors tab.
