Question for whoever wants to Answer it on the inbox

When do you guys think we will finally hear the last final strangled gasps from flash & see HTML5 Rolled out as Standard on Streaming Media Sites?

Personally I'm sick and tired of Adobe and their continued flash player fixes that usually tend to just add more bugs and more resource hogging rather than fix anything.

its going to take a really long time. flash is just so old. im only twenty, and as a kid i remember use flash. and im sure it was out before i was even born. that said, youtube has began working on using html5. i think its under you account settings, and it becomes your preferred player. but yeah, will take a while for flash. although mobile may help push that along faster

It's not about video quality or user experience or security, it's about DRM, so... flash isn't going away anytime soon... hang on, I don't have flash on my linux boxes, it's all HTML5 lolz. I can only watch flash videos by using youtube-dl, but to be honest, I don't miss flash, I can live with youtube-dl if I want to watch an e-sports finale that's only streamed on Twitch, but then I only watch CS:GO finales, and those are mainly in Europe, and those are also on Dailymotion, so it's a non-issue pretty much lol...

And of course there is always a simple way to get flash support that actually doesn't suck on linux. The trick is to hack up a chrome package, to extract only pepper, and then to install that next to chromium. On most distros, there is a nice community member that takes care of that, so that it can be done simple and automated through the distro's community repos. Just look for a package called "chromium-pepper".
