I just upgraded from a reference RX 580 to an MSI “Air Boost” Vega 56. The gains in the graphics score were phenomenal, up nearly 50%. The overall score went up 27%, but the “Combined Score” only went up 6%. That really doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. What is the Combined Score representative of, and why is there such a small difference after an otherwise significant upgrade?
It says what it does before the test
Considering you only changed your GPU, your result doesnt seem unreasonable and may be revealing a bottleneck somewhere else in the system
3dmark also discloses this in the technical guide directly below this screencap
In the nicest way it can be said, read the manual.
