Hey guys, im going to order a new CPU cooler that comes with two new fans, 1500rpm 120mm just for referance.
This means my current two fans on my current cooler will be no long needed. These are 120mm and 1200rpm. But then what can i do with them? I already have about 7 fans in my case doing jobs so what can i do with these.
Well, here is the idea, first i will say i've never seen it, heard about it or in a 5 mins Google Search couldnt find anything about it. That make me both happy, scared and possibly looking stupid, that im gussing i do look pretty stupid if this is a stupid as it sounds. Well okay to the idea.
I could put the fans ontop of fans in a quad push and pull set up. Yes, thats my big idea...yeah don't give me that look okay its an experiment at best.
So here is my idea in thoery. I have screws that will go from one fan to another, locking them together. Leaving the rear side to hook into the cooler. The 1200rpm will be at the bottom, and the 1500rpm at the top (I believe this is the best way, i can't say for sure) as im hoping the 1500rpm will help the 1200rpm get air out as if the 1200rpm fan was at the top it may limit air movement, thoery remember.
so what we have is ~~|-||-||--||-||-|~~ Two sides been the two fans and the middle been the cooler. Ive done some messurments and its a long haul but will fit in my case with my motherboard and current set up.
So, i just wondering if you guys know anyone whos tried this before you can link me to so i dont waste my time as what im wanting to do is just see if this is really possible and if it would imporve air cooling at all. The noise shouldnt pass 25dB at max so hopefuly noise wont be a major problem.
But yeah summery:
- Do you think im mad?
- Might it work?
- Your opinion?
- Anything you would do different?
Also, im going to be a Sneaky Ninja and do some self advertising.
I'm selling this motherboard and APU. Its been tested but brand new and was only tested for a few hours.
