Hey everyone i need some help im building my first gaming PC i need to know should i spend $18 more and get a SIX CORE or just go with QUAD CORE
QUAD CORE is a AMD FX-4130 3.8GHz
SIX CORE is a AMD FX-Series FX-6100 3.3GHz
Most games won't use more than the four cores, so unless you're doing rendering, video/phot editing etc. I wouldn't bother.
but considering new gen consoles will have more than 4 cores....
FX 6300. It's a great CPU.
I wold definetly recommend the FX-6300 its better than the FX4100 better than the Phenom and considerind the next gen consoles like Raudius said and eventually the games WILL start using 6 cores then the FX-6300 is much better and deserves the 18$ like you said.
