Yeah i finally overclocked my pc :P

I don't understand why it say that my ram is 800 Mhz when its actually 1600 ..... that is really weird ... could someone explain me ??? ( i manually changed the latency in the bios and my bios says its 1600 )

core voltage is actually at 1.44V

and ive ran prime95 for the last 4 hours had no errors ... istopped it because i wanted to play and i will put it back tonight.

Any thought about my 1st overclock ? :D

maybe becuase your mobo can't go to 1600 and no mobo supports 1600mhz ddr2 the highest i've seen is 1200 you also don't want to overclock it that much at such a low voltage. raise your voltage and raise it to a pc8500 mhz

Overclocking the thing my mobo wont allow :P

Nice overclock.

:)

uh ... mobo is evga 790i ultra ... and ram is Kingston HyperX DDR3 1600 Mhz so it is runing at that speed ...
aise it to a pc8500 mhz
didn't understood that part .. lol :S

do you think 1.467 Volts should do the trixck ?

You'll have to manually set your RAM to 1600FSB along with your processor. Although the only processor with 1600FSB is the Core 2 Quad Extremes so yeah.

yeah like i said i already putted it to 1600 ... but cup-z still detect it at 800 Mhz .. while in my bios it is written its at 1600 Mhz .... when i boot too it says that ... uh

Then your computer fails at life.

may be that becuase your using DDR2 memory its double data rate something like that and 2x800 is 1600 so... just go by what your bios says the bios is always right :)

For the love of god, it's DDR3

THREE!!!!

DOUBLE DATA RATE?!?!!?

DOES THAT MEAN I HAVE 1800MHZ CLOCK SPEEDS TOO?

FUCK YEAH, I LOVE COMPUTERS

oh wait, what ?

ddr3 is double data rate, its 800 times 2. it IS running at 1600

please state what mobo and ram you have you will confuse a lot of people. I would up the voltage thats what you need to do for pretty much a overclock and have it stable.

like george and metal ghost said, your memory is running fine

aight sorry for the confusion here :S :Phere are my specs :

Mobo: Evga nForce 790i Ultra SLI 775 A1 Version

CPU: Intel Q9450(2.6) @ 3.6GHZ

Ram: 2gb kingston HYPERX DDR3 1600MHZ ( 9-9-9-27 )

GPU : 8800GT ... i know i need to get a better graphic card but right now i dont have money :(

mmm sry for the double post but .....

CPU-Z say my voltage is 1.44

while in my bios it is at 1.475000

any idea what the problem is ?

cpu-z is reading it wrong, or you havent turned vdroop off. did you turn vdroop off?! please tell me you did.

always trust bios

I'd say overclock your memory to 2000mhz the 790i supports it just up your voltage and fan speeds

vdroop ? i turn off what was mentionned in the guide stickied on the forum ...

Well check my ram then -_-"

Cant freaking figure it out... If only 780i's had support for 4 dimms in 1066 mhz.. gay

EDIT:

Holy shit, I went into bios and was all like "Shut the fuck up and let me do my thing!"

Now i have 1066 mhz <3
