Punk

I'm an ole punk rocker from the Lower East side, back in the 80s. I worked at 8BC on the door and worked a couple bands with Emily XYZ. Anyway, I don't expect youngsters to even give two hoots, a burnt offering, or a shit about punk... but, It is missing, so, here it is.
I'm gonna post one thing, cos it matters.

Dis is wha' punk is about.. yup. Its not your clothes, its in the head. Its what makes you try to shit faster cos you may be missing something... and its what keeps your heart beating.
Punk was the form factor... all else has borrowed ever since.. well, except Swedish Death Metal. I think that was made in a dryer.

... too true, it does matter.
Best thread on the Tek in a long time. Many thanks mate.
Kids these days need some punk in their lives.

Not a major punk fan but I've been known to dabble.

I'll leave you with two fantastic songs. One's obvious, the other not so much.

i also liked oi, but that was more hardcoreish and for skinheads lol

I hate people. So what.
Anti-Nowhere League

Ulster Boy 14 inch disc... one of the best pieces of vinyl I ever bought.
The Ramones first 3 albums, the PIstols, Buzzcocks Spiral Scratch, Eater... Dead Boys and the Damned (saw them together when Damned were first UK punkband to hit US, last day at CBGBs. That was just awesome). Wire... Specials... The Saints, the Lurkers... I could go on, but I'm a lazy bastid. LOL
