PSU with powerline?

I just had this idea, does a PSU that integrates powerline exist? If not i should patent it because it would make life quite easier for a lot of people, or am i crazy?

Plus it could bring some interest back in the market of PSUs and would probably sell pretty well.

It must be possible to do it right?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by integrates a powerline... But I'm guessing you mean a switched outlet on the PSU for plugging in other devices to be switched on by the computer. Am I right?

If you mean a power strip (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_strip) then yes, to an extent they do exist. Or they did. Some older power supplies basically had a passthrough that allowed you to plug your monitor or whatever else into the back of the power supply, so essentially, you didn't lose an outlet to your tower. These, however, presented some issues, as the draw from the computer itself could affect the current going to the passthrough. That's why most computers you see that have these are inherently lower end, or at least low draw computers.

No I think he is talking about something like this.
