So i'm about to order my new rig but i have yet to decide on a psu, It's an area i have no previous experience.
I'd like the PSU to have enough to fuel another GPU if need be.(Want to have the option of buying a 2nd GPU)
Was thinking about Fractal R2 750w but for shipping reasons can't.
I checked the unofficial faq post before, but thought i'd ask here also.
I live in Europe/Estonia.
What firms should i even look for and what should i steer clear of? Here's my rig:
CPU = AMD FX-8350
CPU Cooler = 212 EVO
MOBO = GA-990FXA
MEM = 2x Crucial Ballistix 8GB
GPU = R9 280x
STORAGE = 120gb SSD+ 1TB HDD
Thanks in advance.
Get the Corsair RM850W, it's their best offering at the wattage that you need :)
Corsair, Seasonic and silverstone are all great. Look for reviews of any you're interested in, try to find reviews where they have the measuring equipment to properly test it and not just an unboxing.
Do i really need 850W, was hoping i could do with 750w, not sure when i can afford the other GPU, might be in a year or even more, In that case is there any point in buying a 850W right now or is it better to buy a lower one now, and later when buying another GPU just buy a new PSU aswell ?
Considering that an FX 9590 paired with a 290x is roughly 650w I would recommend roughly 650w if you don't want to do Xfire and 1000w for Xfire.
