PSU for 4090/7950x3d

Tenfilip - Saved Part Lists - PCPartPicker (plus 2x48 GB ram and noctua fans)

Please kindly advise on which PSU to buy. Bequeit from the build I will remove due to quality issues (cable falling apart).
I have 4 ssd and 1 hdd. I really want stable build, which currently is not the case.

Seasonics Prime/Vertex series, would support PCIe 5.0 cablings [aka, 12/16pin connector]
A lot of SATA cabling be used [between fan clusters and your stack of 2.5/3.5 Drives]

Power availability, can swing from 1200 to 1600W [along with Gold thru Titanium ratings]

Hey, that’s 3 nvme, 2 sata drives, so not that much. Thank you for the recommendation

Plenty of good options in HWBusters’ 1000-1250 W shortlist. Personally I’d default HX1200i with consideration to Leadex VII. If bumping to 1300, XPG Cybercore II.

I have to look at 230 v, maybe I should mention that. These graphs you show dont say much about cable quality, or general build quality, but it’s good source of knowledge. I’m surprised they didnt include bequiet.

I think these are interesting stats (from main swiss retailer digitec.ch).

I just noticed that I need my psu to be max 20cm long, due to the 140mm fan on the floor of the case

be quiet!'s in Cybenetics’ database and Aris occasionally reviews their models. The short version is the supplies are mostly adequate but be quiet!'s long been somewhat hit and miss on delivery. You’ll need to look at HWBusters reviews on a supply by supply basis for components.

Cybenetics data plus HWBusters reviews is you know whether or not a supply passes basic testing and have an evidentiary basis to flag problematic areas. Since supplies among the more capable group are interchangeable for power delivery availability and regional pricing often determine selection.

Seasonic’s not unlike Noctua in that they’ve mindshare from a subset of forum folks who see them as a go to brand. Broadly speaking their power engineering’s mostly fine but the company’s behavior’s frequently been not great and it’s clear low operating noise isn’t a design priority.

Model to model variation’s often larger than manufacturer to manufacturer variation and regional variation in support often also substantial. So your mileage will vary.
