What does everyone think about this PSU?
Just bought the SSD and MOBO on this list. Super Excited.
I don't like (or trust) the Corsair RMs, due to the use of cheap caps, along side good caps. If a customer is paying a premium amount of money, for a "premium" product, it should be perfect in every way.
I'd go with a Seasonic X series. I love my Seasonic X850. And if you're interested in having a quiet build, the hybrid fan switch on the PSU might interest you.
I would have to second Jason_Thongphetmanic Seasonic is an awesome psu I use a 750w Seasonic Gseries and it works great.
Thats a big psu for what you intend to run.

XFX Gold Fully Modular 750w - is cheaper, of higher quality and would easily power your rig (including xfired 280's if you went that route). If it were me though with the money saved going to the mentioned psu I'd put that towards getting a 290 instead of a 280.

Seasonic is probably the best manufacturer of power supplies ever... I would consider the a 650 watt fanless seasonic psu... that should be enough
for crossfire.. find a 850watt seasonic.. :D
If you do not want to step down your wattage you might as well go with the snow silent.. This is my PSU.. its dead quiet and the efficiency of it is absolutley wonder
I sleeved my own white cables so ehh... the black power cord isnt a bother
Also I am not sure of budget but the h440 is mediocre compared to the wonder fractal design R5 in terms of quiet operation
My friend is letting me use his 690 bc the bastard just bought a Titan X.
The 1k watt PSU is for posterities sake, meaning I don't want to buy a new one if I decide to OC and do multiple cards.
The R5 lookes awesome, but not quite as awesome as the H440. I am still considering the R5 however based on the fact that it is quieter, cooler, and easier to build in.
Finally, if any of you can find a modular 1000w PSU for less than 120$ be my guest. Not going to happen with one of those Seasonics.
