I have a rosewill stalion rd700 psu. The fan recently stopped working all together, but the psu still runs. The fan doesnt spin on start up so I don't think it has anything to do with it not using enough power. It is 14 months old.
Replace it with a known quality PSU. I saw this model only has one year warranty. I'd stop using it right away if the fan failed. Definitely do not do anything more demanding with the system.
well if you cant get a new PSU right away you could easily crack the thing opened and just replace it with another 120mm or 140mm fan that you have laying around. If that doesn't fix the issue then you know its definitely not the fan. Be careful though if you do this, you could potentially create a bad situation for yourself if your not careful and do a poor job of it. I replaced the fan in my KWI 1000 watt platinum PSU with a 140mm Nactua one, pretty simple, just cut and splice the wires together (assuming that PSU doesn't use a standard 3 or 4 pin fan connector)
