PSU 24 Pins Not Fitting Correctly

I am currently trying to install my OCZ Fatal1ty 750W Modular Power Supply and plug my 24 pin conector into my Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 Motherboard. The connector can be pushed down half-way until it stops. The extra 4 pin connector fits fine but the 20 pin stops when it reaches the metal points on the motherboard. Is the some trick to installing the PSU?

Um...you're installing the cable in the right direction, right?

Just kidding. Yes, I am installing it the right way (clip and lip connect).

Just push down on the 24-pin connector until you hear it click. Just make sure the clip goes over the lip. As long as that happens, it should be installed correctly.

No amount of force I use works. No pins on the motherboard are bent but some in the PSU look crooked. I cannot get it down enough to hear a click or have the clip over the lip.

Can you post a pic of your connector?

I'm sorry I meant the pins on the connector that look bent.

Otherwise, that is how far bent they are.

Yeah the NC or -5V pin looks bent. The image is a little blurry so I am not sure of any others.  Can you bend it back a little bit? Do you know how to remove pins? cause if so you can remove that pin due to not needing it on a 24pin header. I personally have never seen a pin so bent before, but I could easily repair something like that myself because I have a pin crimper and make my own custom wires/sleeve them.  If you can't bend it back and don't have the know how on fixing/removing it I would RMA. Let me know if that helps or you need more info.

I ajusted a few pins with a screwdirver and it fits now.

That's good to hear just incase you're curious why one pin isn't needed read the last paragraph of this.
