Hey L1T (aka my L1L [or Level1Linux] bros and gals)!
Have you wanted to see what mono can offer Linux?
Are you tired of having complex, sophisticated tools like Inkscape and Gimp, when you just want to inkblot some sh!t out?
Well, check out Pinta! It’s in most major repos and package managers, and it’s free and open software.
I’ve had a lot of fun with it, I have even created a super jacked, totally kewl 3840x1080 wallpaper to span across two monitors on Gnome. u jelly? u profusely irate?
Debian Users, Beware:
The version of mono that comes out of the box is not equipped to run Pinta properly.$ sudo apt install dirmngr
$ sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv-keys 3FA7E0328081BFF6A14DA29AA6A19B38D3D831EF
$ echo "deb http://download.mono-project.com/repo/debian stretch main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mono-official.list
$ sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y
That should do it, if not, just install mono-devel or mono-complete and Pinta will run smooth as pie for you.
I was super excited to discover this tool. I hope you all experience a fraction of the joy I did. Learn more about it here https://pinta-project.com/pintaproject/pinta/ (thanks @_adrian )
Thanks for reading.
