When using the serial console and navigating around lines, there is a lot of strange behavior - Text writing over previous text, incorrect current location on the line etc
Is this expected behavior ? Have I missed a step or something?

You could try a different type of console/terminal? Sometimes poping it out to a seperate screen browser window/pop-up can remove some artifacting?
There should be a drop down, top right, near the “create VM” dropdowns. Might default to realvnc or some such
I’m using the serial console - xterm.js in it’s own window
I need to use this for copying pasting etc
All I could say, is try another browser perhaps?

Try using the different terminal emulator.
Yeah, or SSH’ing in to the machine
