I’m running Windows 7 inside Proxmox and I need to keep a static date on the Windows VM. The problem is when I shut the server down, mainly due to power outages, and boot Windows back up it changes the date back to the correct date. I don’t have a network interface on the Windows VM so it must be getting the date from Proxmox? Any ideas on how to stop it from changing the date? Anything in Proxmox would do this? The program running must check the date when Windows boots, maybe I could stop that service? Any ideas would be appreciated.
You really shouldn’t be messing with date like that. Its a bad idea for a number of reasons.
There are no functions of proxmox that will allow for the functionality you’re talking about, to my knowledge.
