i am shocked you are getting anything over 1gb out of that thing.
as far as the proxmox bridge goes it has no speed limit. however if your VM is using something other than VIRTIO then that virtual NIC will still have a designated speed.
I’m connecting iperf3 directly to the proxmox server, so it shouldn’t be a VM issue
OK so cable replaced and still no better.
There is reports of people achieving over 4gbs on linux mint 6.5 kernel
Anyone any other ideas?
Seems it may have been down to the driver
On one side, I changed the kernel to 6.10 and removed the driver. Speed shot up to 3.7Gbs
I’m unsure if doing something similar on the proxmox side would increase speeds, but I imagine 6.10 is probably a way off, there
