Project:Save the Dell

So my parents old Vostro 200 turns on, runs fine and then turns off again. I thought I would take it apart and see if I could find the root of the problem. When I took off the side panel, the whole bottom. sides and parts on the motherboard were covered in dust. So here's my questions?

1. What is the best way to clean components? (PC dissasembled)

2.Does anyone in Australia have any DDR2 memory laying around?

3.What socket is the processor? (upload pic at later date)

4. Would a 6770 run well in this system?

Current Specs:

Intel Pentium (not sure what model) dual core 2.0 GHZ.

Unknown Mobo.

2x1 GB sticks of Kingston Value Ram DDR2 (one stick faulty)

Dell Power Supply (swapping out for a CX430)

Western Digital 160GB Drive

Windows Vista (Upgrading to 7)

Intel Pentium E2180, socket LGA775, max supported ram: 4gb. The 6770 should work.

I wanted to come in this thread to say... There is no saving Dell, they dug their own grave.

You might be able to find some DDR2 ram on ebay or similar sites..
