Program that automatically updates other software?

As the title says, can somebody recommend the a GOOD program that would scan other programs for updates and download/install them? 

I've tried a few now, they were bad and bloated with ads and toolbars etc.

Ninite pro looks good. You have to pay for it though, and I haven't actually used it.

Thanks for that link. It looks like Ninite Pro doesn't include the updater.

Is Updater included in a Ninite Pro subscription?
No, but Ninite Pro users can accomplish the same thing by running a Pro installer with the /updateonly and /disableshortcuts command-line switches.

Because "Switch operating systems" is a plausible answer.

 Mine is a cheap, slightly better alternative to the Ninite pro option above, which you can get a free trial for.

There's this and it has a command to update all packages to latest version. Programs have to be installed with it though.
