Logan or Wendell, could you guys possibly look at the new Logitech 633 and 933 in a review video? I have been waiting for an update to the 930, and would very much like to know your personal opinions on the 933. I am also somewhat interested in the new Corsair Void wireless set. Thank you for your time.
I am neither Logan nor Wendell, however I did purchase the Wireless Void headset yesterday.
They worked out of the box, I tested them for a couple hours, but when I attempted to update the firmware on the headset I started running into some problems...
Using Corsairs Utility Engine to update the headset's firmware would fail every time, sending the headset into bootloader mode.
After some digging, I discovered there are problems with this headset going into bootloader mode, this process worked for me to get the headset functioning the first time the firmware update failed, but after trying to update the firmware again, no lights, dongle can't be flashed, nothing in devices list when connected through USB, at this point they may be bricks.
So I may have gotten a defective unit, or maybe the firmware update killed them. Either way I'm having to return these headphones, which sucks because they were very comfortable and sounded great.
Main complaints I have are about the microphone. The mic has LED indicators to that show info about battery life, if your mic is hot etc. but these lights are facing outwards from the set, making it difficult to get the arm in a position to see them. The mics quality isn't amazing, and by default the mic was a little quiet, however that can be changed in the CUE software, where you might also think about updating the headset's firmware...
So in closing, I like Corsair in general, my case is the Obsidian 800D, but unfortunately my first experience with their headsets leaves me unable to give them a ringing endorsement.
edit : focusing interest on the 933, would like to know how you feel about this device compared to say, Sennheiser wireless options that are of similar price comparison and your general thoughts on wireless and if Logitech is hitting all the right spots for consumers
