Here’s the thing. I know big tech companies scanning your images isn’t anything new. But the fact that this is done locally on your device is absolutely dystopian to me. Like if you upload your stuff to a cloud service, you’re putting it on their computers and shouldn’t expect it to remain private. But this is extremely disappointing, especially coming from a company who likes to brag about privacy.

And it’s not just your images. It’s also your messages.
