yeah i agree that is probably one of the best looking console games it really shows how good you can make games run and look if you optimise it for one platform

It reminds me of 'Street Figher V' where one can change the Art style in the video options. The game had Photoshop filters like Brush stroke, Pen and ink, Watercolor, etc. It was pretty neat stuff in a solid fighting game.
PC games wish they looked this good... Naughty dog doesn't fuck around when it comes to optimizing
Agreed, shit even their polygon hair puts TressFX and Hairworks to shame in terms of looking natural and organic. Their attention to detail is second to none. I think what really sets them apart from others they pay just as much attention to the details as much as the game engine to drive their visual, where as others would let the technology drive the visuals.
Have you ever heard of emulators? Now it's for PC as well officially, because Sony are selling PlayStation Now on PC - streaming service for PlayStation games.
But I still stand behind my words. Okami is one of the most gorgeous visually and stylistically games ever made.

Two of my favorite games
They managed to make the last of us look the way it looks on the PS3... We are now having similarly looking games on the PS4 and the horse power difference between the two consoles is night and day...
Anyways...
I still think Skyrim looks just fine, even Vanilla. I think Dark Souls 1 looks fine. But let's keep the things uncontroversial for the time being - Journey. Surprised nobody mentioned it (or I have missed it)...
I still think games, attempting realism will sooner or later be surpassed and forgotten. Stylistically beautiful games, however look fine and will look fine in 20 years... Just look at Zelda Windwaker. It didn't even need an HD remake, but whatever. The original still looks fine.
