For the impatient, you can take the pressure cooker to the sink, and run water over the whole thing to cool it faster before opening.
Similar happening, I was working in Vegas and we had a lot of stuff to fry but not enough fryers, so we make up our own out of 2 army pans on the stove bank, then once it was hot enough, one of the idiot temps we had decided to dump a pan of undrained cut fries into these. Water in a fryer is bad. Everything boiled up, then boiled over the lit on fire into a fireball 6ft wide, floor to top of the hood and up over the hood to the ceiling, almost burn the building down. That was a fun day.
