The link above highlights the investigation of Apple and their infringements on patents from Samsung. The investigation that the United States International Trade Commission conducted stated above ended in June of last year, and it was decided that the patents were indeed infringed. The Commission ordered that all of the electronics that infringed the patents be banned from importation. The President showed his true nature in his decision to overturn the ban and nullify the findings a month later in August of 2013.
This just highlights that companies that have an IPO and that are "too big to fail" can do pretty much whatever the hell they want because the government is in their pocket. There is no fixing this. There could be a Congressional investigation and almost all of the companies in the US are gone the next day, but that will never happen. The PDF inside the link shows the Cease and Desist order from the USITC that was issued.
This story somehow slipped under the radar to the average crowd. Every media outlet had this story in 2013 and there are several posts on explaining the same thing at the time.

This just reeks of corruption and there is nothing we can do to stop it.
