Pranking PlayStation Fanboys: Press X to Jason

Some Europeans, especially Dutch folk, might reckon that, right now, it's extremely hot in the Netherlands (well, for Dutch standards obviously). Apparently this affected my brain for the worse, and made me do some random, useless, but most of all, in my opinion utterly fun stuff.

'With my brain at zero' (litteral translation of a Dutch saying, proof that my brain is still numb) I thought about how to prank a friend of mine, who happened to be a PlayStation fanboy. His PlayStation-faboy'ism came to my mind and I tried to come up with something to prank him with that. Eventually I came up with this:

A program that is invisible for the user, but shouts "JASON!" through his or her speakers everytime the 'X' button is pressed on the keyboard.

After around half an hour of struggling with Python and some audio editing programs to get the different "JASON!" screams ready, I managed to make a program that did just that, flawlessly. I compiled it and went to my friend to hang out at his house. Just when I was about to leave, he went away real quick and I was left alone with his computer... Perfect opportunity right there. I put the 'malicious' software onto his computer, added it to the boot register, set his audio-output to speakers and turned the volume all the way up and left.

After around an hour being home watching Skype cosely, he finally started talking to me. Litterally translated he said something along the lines of "You know, I just had a heart attack... So had everybody else in this house plus the neighbours... Now how the hell do I remove this shit, you c*nt..." I busted out laughing and called him. He was pretty mad, but fortunatly he wasn't gonna kill me. He could even laugh about it, well a little.

So if any of you ever need to prank a PlayStation faboy; the software can be downloaded here: http://goo.gl/qkFrMV

(Make sure to read the README, 'cause the only way to terminate the program is via Task Manager)

Have fun with it and let me know if you experience any bugs or other weird issues. I know April Fools Day is still far ahead but still, maybe save it for later? :P

Lol, that's pretty interesting, i am learning python by myself now but i will catch up to your level in no time and then i will troll my friends just like that.

Well, if you want to learn some more, take a look at the code and see what you do and don't understand from it: http://pastebin.com/aNRA6BYi

Might give you some insight. Good luck catching up/surpassing me ;)

this is awesome

he he he.

I was talking to my PS fanboy friend today lol.

Hmmmmm.
