Power consumption in sleep mode

My system eats up about 170W of power in idle. How much power would it need in sleep mode??

I know the power consumption while running thanks to my UPS utility but I have no way of measuring the power input while in sleep mode and I would prefer not to buy any equipment I would only use once or twice.

I'm only looking for an approximation. Just wondering if I should just put the PC in sleep mode instead of turning it off completely. [I know the question of sleep vs power off has been asked before]

~20W

~20W sounds really high, I'm fairly sure it's more like ~5W, probably below 5W with modern computers. The difference in consumption between sleep and completely shut down but not unplugged should be minimal.

5W is a little low... I think 20W is closer to the truth. I mean all the fans are running (9 of them), I also have LED strips that stay on AND all the peripherals.

Is there any way to get the fans to turn off also??

Can I get the system to wake up only after pressing the the power button?? Right now, it wakes up after the slightest touch of the mouse...
