My Mobo: Gigabyte GA-945PL-S3P (i already have)

*Intel C2D E 7200 OR the E 4700

2 GB of RAM 667 mhz DDR II

Optical drive (SATA DVD writer) (LiteOn LH-20A1S)

500 GB HD (Western Digital Caviar SE)

*XFX 8800 GS, XFX 9600 GT or XFX 8600 GT zalman cooler edition (GDDR 3)

2 Case fans

a W-lan card

_

The ones with a * in front i'd like you to tell me the best choice.

and also, could i run this system with a 450 Watts PSU? or should i buy a new one?

I would go with EVGA. they are great support and if you need any help there support is 24/7 and there are nice ppl on forums to help out. I'm there also.

but yes i would go with EVGA. just for so many reasons i cannot make a list of them all.

EVGA are very nice ppl.

also EVGA lets u legaly overclock :)

CPU i would pick

get the xfx 9600 gt. you could run your system with a 400 watt or greater psu.

Don't get 667Mhz RAM, it's slow, get 800mhz at least.

All that you can get a 500-600W and still be able to overclock no problem.

I ran almost the extact same build expect its amd. It works on a 450Watt PSU, but im probably gonna get an upgrade cause the PSU probably wont last for too long. I also oc my cpu. If you want to be sure wat your systems' power usage use eXtreme Power Supply Calculator. Just google it. Also with intel ram speeds does not show a big performance increase, but with amd it does, but i would stil aslo recommend 800mhz ram

Also i have the Evga 8800 GS. It overclocks really really well i'm playing crysis on high 1280 1024 no aa averaging 30fps. The card also runs really silent and cool, much more different than the XFX 8800 GS, That card from i've read online is hot n noisy

the evga 9600gt is the best from those gpu's

for power supplies, 450w from a good branded psu like corsair, antec, or ocz the you should be fine

definitely get a 500-600 watt power supply, you never know when you want a new graphics card and you power supply isn't up to snuff either, buy a bigger one now and save yourself some hassle, I wish I did...

My friend has this setup:

AMD Athlon 64x2 4800+

GeForce 8600

2GB RAM

etc

He is overclocking his stuff, and he has a 250W PSU.
