I'm running the GTX 570 and it's been running kind of hot so I wanted to get a glimpse of some others idle + full load temperatures. As far as bringing mine down, could I just reapply thermal coolant?
GTX 570
idle: 52 C
load: 68 C
I ran the Bioshock Infinite benchmark at Ultra DX11_DDOF (1920 x 1080.) I have the HAF 932 Tower. If you want any more info on my specs, I can get those.
I just cleaned my tower yesterday, disassembled and dusted everything out. All cables are routed behind the mobo tray. The one thing I couldn't clean due to the fact that I didn't have a small enough screw driver was the GPU. I need to take that sucker apart and clean it out.
Asus HD 7870 DirectCU II V2 300 MHz core 1200 MHz GDDR5 0.894v, 41*C GPU core, 47*C VRM at idle. 1200 MHz core 1375 MHz GDDR5 1.3v 65*C GPU core, 72*C VRM under load using 10 minutes of looping Unigine Heaven 4.0, 1600x900@60Hz resolution with Vsync on, Quality High, Tessellation Normal, AA off.
I want to make a statement regarding this graphics card. Unless you have great case ventilation, are planning to use this card in a custom water cooling loop, or using an AIO cooler solution for it, I do not recommend you overclock this graphics card as high as I have. The digital VRMs on this graphics card are not touching any part of the cooler what-so-ever and the fan closest to the VRMs isn't even on top of the heatsink above the VRMs. I've had problems with the GPU locking up because the VRMs get too hot and the GPU voltage drops below the value required to keep this overclock stable during excessively hot days.
Sapphire 7970 3GB overclocked, modded EK waterblock, 60 % glycol experimental coolant in circuit with homemade wirbelrohr splitter, dual Swiftech pumps, together with FX-8350 with 360mm rad in hot loop and 280+120mm rads in cold loop, after 15 hours of max instances of hashcat md5 and wpa2 (100% full load on gpu and cpu, catalyst+mesa 9.2+linux 3.11, so full speed and power management) in an ambient temp of around 30°C: 28.7 °C, (CPU temp 31.4 °C).
Asus gtx 680 dcuII 4 GB overclocked, modded EK waterblock, normal distilled water coolant with biocide and antioxidising additives, dual swiftech pumps, together with 3690x in loop with 480+240+120mm rads, after 10 minutes of Kombustor in an ambient temp of around 30°C: 64 °C (CPU temp not representative because not full load).
Sapphire 7850 2GB max overclocked (1050 MHz), stock dual fan cooler, with Phenom II X4 955 @ 4 GHz with H60-2013+stock fan, with 44 % glycol experimental coolant, over bottom intake, Lian Li PC-A55 compact case with only the 120mm air intake through the H60 and a single 140mm fan exhaust at the top, after more than 24 h of max instances of hashcat md5 (100% load on gpu and cpu, catalyst+mesa 9.2+linux 3.11, so full speed and power management), in an ambient temp of around 30°C: 41.2 °C (with CPU temp 27.9 °C).
Sapphire Vapor-X 7970 Overclocked to 1200MHz Core and 1600MHz Memory at 1.26V
idles at 32C and reaches, as high as I've seen, 68C. But typically doesn't go past 60. Very happy with the card, especially given I got it brand new from newegg at $350 :D
