Post your GPU temps and overclock

I'm running the GTX 570 and it's been running kind of hot so I wanted to get a glimpse of some others idle + full load temperatures. As far as bringing mine down, could I just reapply thermal coolant?

GTX 570

idle: 52 C

load: 68 C

I ran the Bioshock Infinite benchmark at Ultra DX11_DDOF (1920 x 1080.) I have the HAF 932 Tower. If you want any more info on my specs, I can get those.

I think people should include which models they have as well, because some reference ones run hotter than aftermarket cards.

So, I'm runing an MSI Twin Frozr III GTX 680.

Idle: 29-32

Load: 65 (And if its a particularly hot day, it'll go up to the 70s)

This is common across games like Metro: LL, Crysis 3, and Skyrim with some 50 mods + ENB series.

XFX 7870 30 idle 45 to 50 load. Remember alot of that is how good your case airflow is. I would start there first.

I just cleaned my tower yesterday, disassembled and dusted everything out. All cables are routed behind the mobo tray. The one thing I couldn't clean due to the fact that I didn't have a small enough screw driver was the GPU. I need to take that sucker apart and clean it out.

You could also just try and blowing it out with a can of air. That's what I did, but I have a pretty open shroud on my gpu for that.

Another thing to consider is, your card is almost 2 years old right? It might be round time to reapply the thermal paste.

Yeah I used the compressed air on it, and the casing on the card is very enclosed. I need to find a tiny screw driver so I can take it apart.

Asus HD 7870 DirectCU II V2 300 MHz core 1200 MHz GDDR5 0.894v, 41*C GPU core, 47*C VRM at idle. 1200 MHz core 1375 MHz GDDR5 1.3v 65*C GPU core, 72*C VRM under load using 10 minutes of looping Unigine Heaven 4.0, 1600x900@60Hz resolution with Vsync on, Quality High, Tessellation Normal, AA off.

I want to make a statement regarding this graphics card. Unless you have great case ventilation, are planning to use this card in a custom water cooling loop, or using an AIO cooler solution for it, I do not recommend you overclock this graphics card as high as I have. The digital VRMs on this graphics card are not touching any part of the cooler what-so-ever and the fan closest to the VRMs isn't even on top of the heatsink above the VRMs. I've had problems with the GPU locking up because the VRMs get too hot and the GPU voltage drops below the value required to keep this overclock stable during excessively hot days.

Gigabyte 7950 windforce ghz boost edition. 38C idle @ 500mhz and .949v, 65C load @ 1000mhz and 1.125v

EVGA 680 4GB FTW+ @ 1405mHz GPU core, 1534mHz memory, 1.15V.

Full load, under Furmark "burn in" test, 84 C running stock air cooler.

Idle, about 31 C.

When Folding, which should be full load, I get about 70 to 73 C.

EVGA ACX 760

  • 1306MHz Core Boost Clock, 1212mv
  • 6000MHz Memory Clock
  • 31-2 C Idle
  • 70-71 C Full Load
  • 57-60 C Gaming

GTX 780. With GPU boost 2.0 it automatically ramps up to 79-80 degrees. That's actually pretty ok for this particular card.

Sapphire Vapor-X 7970 Overclocked to 1200MHz Core and 1600MHz Memory at 1.26V

idles at 32C and reaches, as high as I've seen, 68C. But typically doesn't go past 60. Very happy with the card, especially given I got it brand new from newegg at $350 :D

AMD Radeon HD 6750. Idle: 30*c full load: 39*c. I should really overclok the fuck out of this thing.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 (BFG tech) 5 years strong ;-p GPU Clock - 702 MHz (original: 630 MHz, overclock: 11%) Shader Clock - 1404 MHz (original: 1350 MHz, overclock: 4%) Memory Clock - 1188 MHz (original: 1063 MHz, overclock: 12%) Memory Size - 896 MB Idle Temp - 56°c Gaming Temp - 78°c

Give that 760 some air haha! My case has like zero airflow and I have lower temps than that, are you in a vacuum? lol

I have a Galaxy GTX 670 GC @ stock clocks.  I set up a custom fan profile using MSI Afterburner.

Ambient temps - Approximately 20°C.  Usually lower in the winter.

Idle temps - 26°C

Under load (bitcoin mining) - I haven't seen it break 55°C while mining or playing games.

I'm waiting to get a better motherboard before I start overclocking any of my components.
