If nothing else people could shout at me when I forget an ingredient
“YOU FORGOT THE PARSLEY!”
Well that sucks. I was gonna make chilli but some of the dried beans tasted like mould. Had already put everything in the pot so it wasn’t much to do except dump it in the trash. and since I’m apparently too cheap to throw it away I have now picked out the guilty beans by hand. I think it was like 280 grams before they went into the pot. If this chilli isn’t the mother of all chillis I’m gonna be pissed.
that’s why i love canned/jarred beans, they last a long time and usually don’t loose any flavour
These were dried but I guess they got damp some time during the years, or were bad to begin with.
usually do these. They last for a couple of years, and when they start to go bad you can easily see it. Hurts less when you drop them on your foot too.
sorry my ignorance but you do canned/jarred food on cardboard? never saw it, i’m from portugal, here it’s either metal cans or glass jars
Tetrapak, aluminum foil inside, recycled cardboard outside, common in Italy as well, peas, lentils, beans, any kind of legumes…
Canada, lots of juices and milk come in tetrapak. Very common for school lunch box.
@MadMatt didn’t know that, like canada as said by @alwaysFlOoReD here in Portugal tetrapak is usually used for milk, juices, cream, etc
Maybe last ten years or so beans, crushed tomatoes, and other things you usually use the whole can of has moved over to tetrapak.
Is that a Romanian dish?
No idea of its origins honestly…
ramen experimentation week going well. like the ramen alfredo but today went with a simplified general taos sauce with sauteed green onion, garlic, kimchi, and chopped and fried up pork bits think bacon bits. this is surprisingly good
That pasta reminds me of how i clean my fridge
