Steak [NY Strip, basted in butter], Fried Potatoes [Cooked in bacon fat, with bacon and onion]
Lunch Wednesday.
- Leftover grilled chicken
- “salad”
- leftover herb butter pasta
I only ate about half the pasta. Trying to eat healthier.
Dinner last night.
- Marinated London broil. My girlfriend was like dead-set on having it, even though for the price I could have just got a couple sirloins, or a tri-tip for a couple dollars more.
- “campfire” potatoes with salt, pepper, a little margarine, and onions. They were supposed to be cheesy but my girlfriend is lactose intolerant.
- Boiled carrots cooked in margarine and brown sugar. These should have had more of a glaze. I left too much water in the pan, so it ended up being really runny. Still had good flavor though.
stew meat, carrots, potatoes, onions covered in BBQ sauce and cooked in a pressure cooker. Didn’t turn out as good as I hoped because I guess there’s no cheating having stew meat in a slow cooker all day. Flavor was good mind you, just the meat could have used more time to get tender.
Now this is what I’m making today… Thank you for the idea…
