If you have the time, please post your Crimson bugs here, so that we can possibly help resolve the issues that pop up and possibly have someone from AMD be able to see these issues in one place.
If you find a solution or a workaround, please post it, there may be people that have the same problem that are not able to find a solution.
I cannot confirm they are connected, but am having access violation issues after installation of Crimson. Am not able to re-install the programs at this point to see if re-installation works. This happens on Big fish games that my wife plays. I am not yet aware of any correlation between the games other than them all being big fish games.
Dose any one have this Bug? I have an R9 270X
every time i turn my PC On the GPU Fan spins at 50% and it stays that way until i go to the Crimson UI and set it to Auto again then i hit Apply then close it and it's runs normal but if i Launch Fallout 4 or any other game then when i exit the game then the fans speed drops to 20% of speed while the temp is like 50 degree then i got back to the UI again and i set it to Auto agian :( for some reason it's not Saving it Please help I Notice this because i saw my temps hit 90c and i was only running the game for 4 Minutes Can Som one Help Please.
I Just Rolled Back now the GPU fans Spins up and Down normal and when i boot the fans is at idle and not at 50% at lest i know it's a software Bug and not my GPU
okay, so it seems like the optimization feature seems to be causing the access violation issue I am having, I rolled back the driver, but that did not solve the problem until I closed Raptr everything started working fine then.
Language
There is no option to change language and it defaults as Finnish because of my location or keyboard setting? instead defaulting my OS language, and I don't understand these ridiculous Finnish terms. :D
Shader Cache
Global Settings allows only to set it AMD Optimized / OFF.
Game specific configure allows AMD Optimized, ON / OFF.
Frame Rate Target Control
Setting 144 FPS is in reality 140-141 FPS.
Virtual Super Resolution
It changes refresh rate from 144Hz to 60Hz, which then makes FreeSync range to stay as 40-60Hz.
But can be switched back to 144Hz through Windows display settings and FreeSync range gets back into 40-144Hz.
None so far.. will repost back later
Every time I open the menu to access the setting, the driver crashes and I can no longer see anything. I have a Powercolor R9 390.
This would be much better for recognition and actually getting things fixed. http://www.amdsurveys.com/se.ashx?s=5A1E27D23A3DE979&m=0
I had this happen. I removed Crimson, restarted and re-installed. I'm not entirely sure of the cause for that crash, it wasn't happening until a day or so after my initial install. Best I can figure is I had messed around with a bunch of settings on my monitor(overclock with CRU, messing with the EDID to play with FreeSync range) and Crimson didn't like it. Not sure the reasoning behind your crashes, but since re-installing it's run perfect.
It has even done some voodoo magic on my monitor and allowed for 4096x2160(instead of 3840x2160) without any noticeable stretching/compressing of pixels. Not really sure what's up with that, but I'm not complaining about the extra real estate.
i was getting gpu fans running 100% all the time and pc randomly turning on after shutdown
clean uninstall didnt worked so i rolled back to catalyst 15.11
r9 380 4gb sapphire nitro
Yes this is a bug and has fried some people's gpus already by locking them at 10 or 20% without throttling.
Ive had this 100% fan bug with various cards from random reboots to just saving & restarting pc from bios. It usually goes as it should be when Windows files load up / login screen, or just reboot till it wont do that.
But never had that random turn on, looks like you have some nymph. :D
Having the same issue with a HD 7950 (Gigabyte Windforce).
Doesn't save the "auto" setting, after rebooting it's always back to a fixed setting.
That may be due to other programs interfering with the default fan curve from the driver/software form.something like MSi Afterburner. Causes a conflict and stops the fans reacting.
I don't have this issue with my Sapphire 290 and I don't have MSi or any other programs installed.
If this is the case then it is not AMDs fuckup, they will be able to fall back on the We told you not to screw around wrapped up.in a EULA somewhere.
My brother almost fell victim of the cooked card fan throttling bug in the current driver
after 7 hours he complained about a 'red mist' (it was as best a description he could give as he is non-technical)
major artefacts from the gpu getting VERY toasty :D
very surprised it never crashed
