Possible to repair keyboard?

I have a Razer Blackwidow I've had for about 2 and a half years now, and there's a loose connection in the braided cable right where it enters the keyboard. I'd like to avoid having to purchase a whole new keyboard, so is it possible to repair the loose connection? If so, what would I need to do it?

Thanks for any help.

how do you feel about soldering? if its just a loose connection or over pulled wire not to hard to fix and shouldn't even need any parts.....as far as repairing keyboards just think about how much time and money you will put into vs just a new one if its broken and you take it apart and cant fix it well you still have a broken keyboard so not like you hurt anything much

Well it's gotten pretty bad today, I can't even get it to reconnect now. So I've decided I'll solder, which I'm actually pretty inexperienced with, but whatever. I do have a soldering iron. Is there a specific type of solder I need to use, or will any type do?

You want 60/40 rosin core, don't go with the lead free stuff or you will get brittle jointing.

Well I ended up having to cut part of the wire out, so now I have two ends, each with a bundle of 3 or 4 wires (i think) in the middle surrounded by many smaller/thinner wires. Here's a picture that's unfortunately low res:

It seems to me like it's a lost cause at this point. Any suggestions?
