Possible Origin Problem?

Hi guys,

So last night I was playing Walking Dead for a good few hours, then I exited the game and logged into Origin. As soon as I did this my computer rebooted. I went into BIOS and checked my temps etc and they were all fine and so I just went ahead and turned the computer off.

This morning I logged into Origin again and started up FIFA. It ran for five minutes or so, then rebooted again. I checked my temps again and they were fine. I went into Event Viewer and it told me I had an Event ID 41: Computer encountered and unexpected shutdown etc. The events before the shutdown seemed mainly to be System Services tasks. I hung out on the desktop for a while just waiting to see if it would shut down again and it didn't.

I am using Windows 7, which I haven't updated since around Dec/Jan.

So I'm just wondering if anyone else has encountered a problem like this related to Origin or if it's possibly something else? Any help would be much appreciated.

Likely something with the machine making it unstable, but sure updating wouldn't hurt. There's little chance that any software like Origin could reboot your machine even if encountering a significant bug.

Well it was around the time I mentioned when I would try and install updates and they would fail. Also, my machine has been running fine without them anyway, up until yesterday if indeed this is what's causing the problem.

Yeah maybe I'll just give it a clean out with some compressed air and check my cables.
