PopOS 22.04 (or any linux distro) problems with display going to sleep

Hello,

I am having problems when my PC wants to put the displays to sleep (screen blank). the problem is that the display goes blank and 2-3 seconds later goes back to the login screen and this goes on and on.
Can someone point me to the right direction?
i have 1 screen on display-port and another on HDMI.

Thank you!

What is your GPU? If you are on:

  • Nvidia - as you enter your password during logon, there is a gear icon on the lower right. Click it and pick the option that says XOrg.
  • AMD/Intel - as with the nvidia option, make sure to pick wayland instead.

Hi!
thanks for the reply
i enabled wayland by: Enabled Wayland in /etc/gdm3/custom.conf by setting WaylandEnable=true , logged in to gnome with wayland as you suggested but i sill have the same issue.

i am using an AMD system, Ryzen 3700X, with ASUS PRIME X570-P MB,
32GB ram @ 3200, and 6700XT GPU for 2x 1080 displays ( 1- displayport , 1 -HDMI) second GPU is configured for VFIO Nvidia GT730, for storage 1 nvme (linux) and 2 SSD + 1 HDD for storage.
