EndeavourOS has been good to me so far. It’s Arch-based and has a really nice setup menu. Like when you install, you can pick which DE you want, proprietary drivers, stuff like that, so you don’t have to do much post-config.
Though I will say I’m really excited to try COSMIC once Pop has it all wrapped up.
Looks interesting, I might give it a go. however… I am getting more and more allergic to crappy AI images people keep using on their websites more and more often.
If you hired an artist to make you an amazing image of a rocket liftoff, would you be happy with a result like this?
That was the point, yeah… Suddenly we are all super fucking happy with these AI generated images and use them everywhere… But if you actually paid for it you’d think it’s a piece of crap.
The sad thing is this year I went to graphics, packaging and related industries fair and every mid sized printer manufacturer had demos printing AI generated fucking sculls. It was horrendous, you can’t even show off your print quality if the image is a blurry mess.
Switch decision:
My “hallway closet turned network hub” has two CAT 6A running to the office and living room. Currently, I have my Router/FIrewall do the back and forth, it is only 2 Gbps though (LAG).
CRS304 has the right number of ports to do 2x10Gbps + Router, but then it is full to the top. CRS312 is overkill (for now?) but not even half filled in the same role.
Minimum Viable (CRS304)
Ports spare (CRS312)
Gigabit will do! (leave as is)

Edit: Well, “ports spare” means I do not need another switch elsewhere, meaning the minimum-viable is in fact a bad idea…
