Poll survey what color do you want to see on motherboards? How important is color to your build?

All of us on here love building PCs but one thing that varies for a lot of builders is their preference when it comes to color or how important aesthetics ( "looks" ) are when it comes to your build. Some of us love to have a focused theme or color in the build. Some of us push matching to its limits and try to match everything from the chassis to PSU to the motherboard and more.

You now have the chance to provide feedback on what really matters to you when it comes to what colors you currently like or want to see on a motherboard. Equally as important you can provide insight into how the overall design and color choices affect your buying decision. I represent ASUS, the world's biggest motherboard manufacturer and this is your chance to help drive designs and voice your opinion.
There are two polls you can submit your feedback on.

Brown. Noctua brown. Then finally a build of a color other than black could be made that color matches with their fans, a brown one.

I want to see some camo ones. I don't want to ever buy a camo board, that would make it to hard to see but yeah Camo with Skoal emblems and a gun rack.

God, no! That would be disgusting. Almost as bad as the camo colours on the Sabertooth Mark 1.

I like Noctua fans, and also like the colour, but I wouldn't have a system based around it. I think the contrast between red ROG boards and Noctua fans really works.

Brian agrees with me, wanting brown motherboards, so much that his vomit is brown! ;P

I don't think we need a brown motherboard. when we have the TUF Series boards.

The TUF series matches the Noctua's pretty good. at least for me it does. with my Z87 Gryphon.

What I would like to see in the future is just high performance mATX boards for the AMD motherboards. I can't comprehend why aren't there any for the AMD platform. For example, for the Future AMD FX ZEN processors. I want a Maximus Gene or Gryphon Motherboard. but to answer these questions. Aesthetics are very important, and I would definitely like to see a White Motherboard.

Still pretty happy with my red and black build

Also JJ, have you guys abandoned driver support for the Crossblade Ranger? Everything except the BIOS hasn't been updated since August of last year :(

Would love to see more Black/Orange motherboards. Right now only Gigabyte has some (1150, 2011-v3) and they are exclusive to their series specialized in overclocking and pretty expensive. I don't overclock, I don't need those features but I really want that color to match with my orange case.

I have to admit, a pure black baord would do the job to, but hey, if someone asks what you want, why not ask for it?

Nice.
Those blue RAM sticks in the first image are killing me though. ;P

They disappear when the LED strip come on. The sheer amount of red light washes away the blue.

Variety is the spice of life. While current boards are better than we had in the past, the vast majority of them look like every other board. If product appearance is a factor at all why would I pay a premium for an ROG board that looks so meh?

Personally I would be attracted to boards with green or blue. I think some of the white looks very clean and interesting.

Green i want, no NEED a green motherboard (atx not mini atx or micro)

ohh you know
theese combos ?

White.. Because we just do not have many good white PCB boards.. I realize white is hard to manufacture but its amazing.. Maybe yellow like the asrock formula...

@illuminatiASUS (JJ) you could always continue DFI'S legacy and go get funky with the colors (ref lan board) hahhahaha..

In all seriousness keep black and red for rog.. Nothing beats that for rog.. But I'd like to see a good Ferrari yellow for some of your good oc boards or maybe your next deluxe... Scrap the blue except for ws

Yellow with purple pcie slots..let's get funky complimentary...

I'd like to see more black and orange, black and purple (UV reactive purple).

Also, more led path lighting like on Gigabyte boards. And not just on the sound part of the mobo.

Ultimately, I do not care about the looks of my internal PC components. Most people are not going to see them, so my primary concern is getting what features and performance I want.

Can I care, however? Yes. My significant other has an Enermax Ostrog Pink case, which is actually quite a nice. Any that click on the hyperlink will see that it is a mix of a light pink, and white. The motherboard, however, is one of those ones that looks black, but really is a dark-brown shade of PCB, and it has dark blue blue high-lights. Kind of clashes. I have a basic aluminum-and-copper aftermarket heatsink installed, which doesn't look bad, but I have seriously considered installing Enermax's ETS-T40-W to go along with it.

Meanwhile, in my own rig, I have a Sabertooth 990FX R2.0. It's black with tan and dark green accents. It goes well in my Corsair 300R case, and Arctic Cooling F12 fans. However, I have a nice, big, shinny nickel-plated Thermalright Archon SB-E, with their TY-143 fan, which is a 140mm fan that is orange, dark red, and revs up to 2500 RPM. On my video card, I have Arctic Cooling's Accelero Xtreme IV installed. So, uh, I don't impress people with my color coordinating and style; I impress people with the massive heatsinks of justice I have on display.

In the future, I may be more conscience about what sort of style my rig will be, but I will be building the style around the functionality of the machine. If a certain motherboard has the features I want for the price point I want, I'm going to get it. Everything else can come afterwards.

I would love all black, like the Gigabyte UD5H BK. Black Goes with everything.
As for how important it is, there needs to be a BIG difference in performance for me to give up colour scheme. Like Noctua, but with the IPPC fans, i can plastidip the brown isolation pads to be whatever accent colour i want.

Would also be nice to see an enthusiast-grade Black and Green Motherboard, like the old Gigabyte Gaming Boards to go with an Nvida-themed build.

Candy apple Green.

I like the look of Noctua with the current SABERTOOTH it provides a symmetry but contrast. Appreciate the feedback though on looking for something that would closely match the color Noctua have on their "brown fans".

What drivers need to be updated? Everything works additionally many of the core drivers for the AMD platform are handled by the OS.

Really the only driver maybe needing additional updating would be the audio driver which you can reference from other ROG boards. I will check with our team if they have a planned update for it.

Also I would note the UEFI is the most important part of a boards stability, performance and compatibility. The fact we update the UEFI is showing support as opposed to not updating which would mean not supporting the board.
