Poll [How often] Do you use NTP to sync your devices time?

Yeah that’s ok, the redht docs got me a config file atarted, but I have debian so the program name, config file location (no idea) and program options are different.

I don’t have pcm or the other one. Just ptpd. Also I can’t reach a remote host and I’m also having another issue. I’ll go ahead and just reinstall the program.

I was initially sending PTPv2 was all in wireshark at 224.0.0.2## Now it’s 224.0.1.2## but it’s sending IPGM requests, and no PTP in wireshark. How might this have been changed amd why can’t I reach out to a remote time server?

Have you gotten this to work? I just get announce timeouts and it doesn’t find a remote server, starts using the local clock as master, then gives tx timeouts.

It’s frustrating how there is ZERO debug information on this program nor is there ANY help in the manual. Fedora, redhat, opensuse nor other pages give any advice or even an example of why this can happen.

all around hourly.
