[POLL] AMD vs. Intel, AMD vs. nVidia

TL;DR - post what CPU and GPU your computer has (AMD, Intel, nVidia), and I will tally the results - I'm interested to see what the majority of people are using.

So, with the new consoles coming out soon, and using AMD parts, I'm interested to see what everyone has in their systems. Just from Tek Syndicate, I seem to see a lot of people have, and are recommending AMD parts for their value, but still good performance. I have an AMD system, which I chose because of the cost effectiveness, but I'm really interested to see what the majority of people have, because, whatever way you look at it, Intel and nVidia do have the better performing parts - Intel performance is better than AMD, but not necessarily at all budgets, and nVidia cards, I say are better because of the issues AMD have had with crossfire and drivers and I think games generally are not as optimized for AMD as nVidia (though this could be likely to change with AMD powering consoles now).

So yeah, what is everyone using here at Tek Syndicate?

I'm not trying to start fanboy fights or anything, just thought this is interesting, as Tek Syndicate is a fairly "hardcore" community, but still I see a lot of recommendations, and people personally (including myself) using AMD, even though intel/nVidia is, in most cases "better".

Also, if we can try to keep posts relatively short. Feel free to give reasons why you chose what you did/ your opinion on the matter, just no HUGE posts please :) it will make counting the results up a little easier that's all.

Reserved - results will be posted here.

This will be updated as more people post.

I have been including APU's/integrated graphics only in the CPU category, hence why the cpu part is more than 50%.

last post included in these results: Cellprocessing.

GPU's on the left, CPU's on the right.

Intel/ Nvidia

4770K and 780

My favourite games run best on both pieces of hardware. In addition, I plan to do some editing with gameplay footage. 780 is great for 1440p.

Didn't have much money

Moving to the dark side soon.

AMD/AMD

8320/ 7870

just what was in my price range at the time, a simmilarly powered intel setup would have cost about $100 more, 7870 just barely edged out 660 at the time
