Policy on LLM responses as posts on L1Techs forum (hopefully no LLM posts)

For me it’s mostly the tendency of LLMs to fabricate nonsense instead of just responding that they don’t know or can’t answer. So far they only seem to be good for generating content that doesn’t need to be accurate.

The problem there is that the goal of this forum is to be a locus of useful knowledge for techies.

Does that mean that we’ll get scraped? Yeah. Can we do something about that? Ehhh, not really.

But the fact of the matter is that we can’t just “ignore” posts like that, because that would not always be obvious to visitors who are not active.
