What are some good ones? I want to make one myself and focus it heavily on the story (rather than the puzzles) but I need to play some others and find what's good/ bad to do in my own game. And the faster it ends the better so I can play more of them.
Broken Sword, Kings Quest, Monkey Island, Samorost 2, Mechinarium, Mixed up Mother Goose, Beneath a Steel Sky. Can't think of many off the top of my head.
Hmmm, I'll surely play Mechanrium and Monkey Island. I'll look up the others as well.
Inca, Kings Quest IX was my favourite, Space Quest, Leasure Suite Larry, shit them were the days....
if you like legos they have archived versions of Mata Nui bionical online point and click adventure games
Some newer ones are Resonance... The Whispered World... I think Dreamfall and The Longest Journey are in this category, too.
I have fond memories of "Syberia". Beautiful artwork and great story.
Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2, basically any old Ron Gilbert or Tim Schafer game.
Also, stuff like the Quest for Glory series was great, oh and Robin Hood, and even more retro, Conquests of Camelot. I spent so many hours playing those things, they were just awesome.
There's also newer Point and Click games that are pretty good. Most of Telltales older stuff, Sam and Max, Tales of Monkey Island, Wallace and Gromit.
Check out the remake of Leisure suit Larry 1; Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded.
Grim Fandango is my personal favorite in this genre. Full throttle and the curse of monkey island are also pretty good. Pretty much everything from Lucas from the old days.
