I just saw this on Kickstarter and thought it was a rather nifty idea for a quick and easy home/studio server dealeo.
However my concern is security. What security issues could come about from this device?

Looks nice. I'm not overly worried about the security though. It shouldn't be more insecure than having a regular server at home. The main problem I see with this is data connection and speed. I have a home server that I can use to stream over the internet but I still prefer to bring media with me on the local memory to conserve bandwidth on my data plan and because it's so much faster to have it local.
Looks like a revamped version of a pogo plug..
