Please help me choose a motherboard for an i5-4690 + 970

Hey guys!

Im finally upgrading my pc. Its nearly a new pc because im upgrading froma a AMD PII 720 BE, but I am a little unsure about the motherboard. Ive already chosen the i5-4690 (no -K) for a processor and a GTX 970 as the gpu.

I dont plan on overclocking. And I will never SLI, spending double the price and getting 20 - 30% more fps just doesnt sound reasonable to me.

I was thinking about the asus Z97M-PLUS/BR (the BR stands for Brazil made in brazil) as the motherboard, but im not sure if thats ok. I was initially looking up h97 motherboard prices since i wont overclock, but that asus seemed like a good deal. What do you guys think? Please give me your thoughts.

Please use this and this links for reference. Or just say a good mobo and ill look it up. PC gaming here in brazil is expensive and parts are lackluster in availability and viarity.

Sometnihg like this?

It's fine. I have that motherboard and an i5-4590. I initially wanted to go for the H97m-E but I decided at the last minute to get a Z97 because they just got it in stock that day. So I figured that I might want to upgrade later to an unlocked i7. The decision proved to be good immediately because Z97 supports higher RAM speeds, and that turned out to be important in a few games that I play like GTA V and BF4, despite the popular belief that RAM speed is irrelevant. It used to be. But not anymore. Maybe it's negligible when you already have a high-end GPU like GTX 970, but I only have a mid-range GPU, so every bit of performance helps. And GTA V does love fast and dual-channel RAM.

the b85m has a nice price tag but is too lacking in features
I'm worried if I'll loose too much if I go for a h97 instead of a z97
